# Xiaomi Redmi 5 Review Xiaomi Redmi 5 is successor of Redmi 4 of 2017. The first major difference you will on **Redmi 5 is the 5.7" HD+ 18:9 Display** in compare with Redmi 4's 5" 16:9 display. Redmi 5's display looks gorgeous with vibrant colors and great viewing angles. Because of the minimum brezel the device leeks cool. Xiaomi put on screen navigation buttons to reduce the bottom notch and **2.5D curved glass** feels great in the hand. The device is completely made out of metal. Look & feels great in the had. Redmi 5 is thicker than the last years Redmi 4. ![_DSC0018---Copy](/content/images/2018/03/_DSC0018---Copy.JPG)

Redmi 5 has 12MP Rear camera with 1.25μm pixel,f/2.2 aperture & PDAF can take stunning pictures in daylight conditions. But this camera fails to produce good quality images in lowlight. Although you can capture some good shorts with HRD mode.

Daylight selfies comes out pretty well with good amount of details with the 5MP Front Camera. But lowlight selfies docent looks good. Even the front flash docent help that much.

Low Light

With Flash

Inspite of having only 2GB Ram & 16GB Rom Snapdragon 450 Processor dose performs pretty well. Its easily handles day to day tasks very well. Although i have noticed
occasional lags and some app crashing issue also. In terms of the battery you will get 3300mAh batter which easily last for a full working day, sometimes even more than a day. It take near about 2hrs to fully charge the device with supplied 5V 2A charger.

Xiaomi Redmi 5 - PROS

  1. Good Build Quality
  2. Beautiful 5.7" 18:9 large display with minimum brezels
  3. Both the cameras performs well in daylight conditions
  4. Good Battery Life
  5. Good Gaming experience

Xiaomi Redmi 5 - CONS

  1. Availability is an always issue for xiaomi devices
  2. Hybrid Dual SIM Slot
  3. Occasional lags & freezing issue.
  4. Average camera performance in lowlight condition

Overall Redmi 5 is an excellent value for money device which looks great and performs well.
